April has arrived and the first weekend of the new month sees some big events taking place in Las Vegas. Pool parties continue to kick off their 2016 seasons, which means more live music from some of the biggest superstars in the game. From EDM, to hip-hop and even a large-scale country music festival being held for a good cause, read on to find out all the haute happenings that are hitting Sin City this weekend.

Wet Republic 2016 Grand-Opening

Another one of Sin City’s premiere pool parties, Wet Republic, kicks off its 2016 season this weekend in grand style with Tiesto taking the stage Saturday followed by Steve Aoki on Sunday. Wet Republic continues to draw massive amounts of party-goers each weekend as the pool parties are among the wildest on The Strip. Even though it’s one of the largest pool parties, it always fills up pretty quickly, so early entry is highly encouraged. Just don’t forget to bring your sunscreen as this party goes hard until sundown.

Nas Live at Drai’s Nightclub

Hip-Hop royalty is taking center stage on Saturday night when Nas rolls into town to perform a live concert at Drai’s Nightclub. Over the last year, Drai’s has moved away from the EDM sounds that still dominate The Strip in favor of bringing hip-hop back to Sin City. Superstars don’t come any bigger than NYC’s legendary Nas, so expect the unexpected as the versatile MC has a treasure trove of big hits and you never know just who might show up to rap alongside him. If you feel hip-hop has been sorely lacking in Las Vegas in recent summers, Drai’s Nightclub is about to show you otherwise.
