Haute Spots Boston: Taste of the Nation June 7

On Tuesday, Share Our Strength Taste of the Nation will bring out some of Boston’s best chefs to serve up their signature dishes at Cruiseport Boston, all to benefit No Kid Hungry. This year’s annual tasting event will be hosted by Taniya Nayak of the Food Network’s “Restaurant Impossible” and HGTV’s “House Hunters.” and led by the event’s Distinguished Chef Council whose members include Gordon Hammersley, Tony Maws, Joanne Chang, Jody Adams, Jason Santos, Andy Husbands, Michael Scelfo, Mary Dumont and Brian Poe. More than 60 local chefs will be on hand to dish out some of their best creations.

The event, which is one of the most popular in the city, is designed to bring together Boston’s culinary taste makers to provide foodies with a taste of their delicious dishes, craft cocktails, and desserts in an effort to end childhood hunger. The No Kid Hungry campaign teaches families how to cook healthy, affordable meals while connecting children in need with nutritious food in an effort to end childhood hunger. Local beneficiaries include Cooking Matters Massachusetts and Project Bread.

Taste of the Nation is being held at Cruiseport Boston, One Black Falcon Avenue on Tuesday, June 7 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. VIP admission starts at 6 p.m. and includes early access to cocktails provided by Boston’s top mixologists and bites from the city’s best chefs along with a private preview to the event’s silent auction. All of the proceeds raised at the event will support No Kid Hungry’s efforts to end childhood hunger.
