It’s time to dive into some not-too-shocking rumormongering: Beyonce might, just might, perform at husband Jay-Z’s Made In America music festival in Philadelphia next weekend. A supposed insider leaked the semi-news to the Huffington Post, saying “the performance is top secret but it will be filmed for Jay’s documentary about the event. It’s going to be epic.”
Hollywood power duo Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are filming the inaugural Made in America for a future concert doc. Confirmed performers include Jay, Pearl Jam, Drake, Skrillex, Drake, Chris Cornell and Run-DMC. A variety of ticket packages at different price points are still available for the two-day (September 1 and 2) Labor Day weekend event, which might explain the potentially spoiled “secret.” While speculation swirls around Beyonce, it’s worth pondering other surprise guests. Kanye West, for instance, spent the first half of the year touring with Jay-Z on their Watch the Throne collaboration.
