We’ve finally reached the time of the year when you start to crave some good gelato and Las Vegas is home to some really sweet spots to satisfy that craving. Gelato is basically the gourmet version of ice cream as it’s richer and creamier, so leave it to Sin City to up the decadence factor with some outstanding offerings. We’ve rounded up five of our favorite places that you’ll want to check out and savor a scoop or two.
1 Jean Philippe Patisserie
World pastry champion and renowned chef, Jean-Philippe Maury, has two locations in Las Vegas, one at the Bellagio and another at ARIA, where you can go to indulge in his decadent creations. While he’s most famous for his gourmet chocolates and pastries, the gelato selections are also very impressive. We’re partial to the ARIA location and highly recommend you pair a cup of gelato with your favorite pastry of choice. After all, no reason to be demur when spending time in Sin City.

2 Wicked Spoon
Hitting up a really good buffet in Las Vegas is practically a rite of passage, but closing out said feast with an ice-cold scoop of amazing gelato only adds to the experience. Wicked Spoon has a full gelato bar within their buffet that has just about any flavor you could possibly want. They also have more adventurous flavors on hand, such as strawberry balsamic, salted caramel peanut and the popular mint chocolate. We can think of no better way to cap off a gourmet Sin City buffet.

3 Café Gelato
The name says it all, as this charming café inside the Bellagio Hotel is a very popular destination for grabbing a quick yet quality scoop. There are some really fun flavors to be found here too, have you ever tried blackberry cheesecake, tiramisu or Snickers gelato before? You can here and the scoop sizes are very generous, so you really get value for your money. Best of all, Café Gelato features organic ingredients so you can feel a little better about your indulgence.

4 Art of Flavors
This is a popular destination for Las Vegas locals when they are craving gelato. Art of Flavors recently reopened with new owners and a redesigned décor, but the quality of the gelato selections remains intact. Everything is made here, from the gelato to the waffle cones, fresh biscotti and even churros. We highly encourage you to be adventurous here as there are lots of gelato flavors that you wouldn’t expect nor be able to find anywhere else. If you love Guinness, you’ll be in heaven with Art of Flavors’ version of the popular beer, plus, there are flavors like lemon curd and our personal favorite, goat cheese waffle chip. There is a reason this place is among the first that gets mentioned by locals when asked where to get some good gelato in Sin City.
5 Gelato Messina
This is one of the newest gelato destinations in Las Vegas and it just might be the most authentic. Originally started in Darlinghurst, Australia in 2002, everything is made from scratch and the ingredients are sourced from their natural forms to make for some truly amazing gelato flavors. With more than 40 flavors at a time on hand, you can indulge in all the traditional offerings or go for the more exotic combinations like pear & rhubarb, poached figs in marsala and pannacotta with fig jam and Amaretti Biscuit. There are so many fantastic offerings here you will want to keep coming back to try them all. They also have 5 special gelato flavors each week, so you’re always guaranteed to find fresh flavors that you haven’t tried before each time you come in. Gelato Messina takes pride in using less cream than most gelato spots, so the fat content is considerably lower, plus all of their sorbets are completely fat free, dairy fee and full of fresh fruit.
