One of the most thrilling ways to party in Sin City is on the rooftop of a swanky hotel. While Las Vegas is home to some impressive venues that allow you to do this, the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub located on the 51st floor of the Rio Las Vegas, just off The Strip, is hands-down one of our favorite hidden gems.
The VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub is one of the wildest nightlife destinations in town and its enormous signature spiral staircase provides for two floors of open-air partying. In fact, there really isn’t a dedicated dancefloor at the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub, so the entire space is fair game for getting down. There is an inside portion of the nightclub for those who like to keep their debauchery traditional, but during the warmer months, the outside area is where you want to be partying as the desert breeze feels especially soothing in lieu of the sweltering heat. The club officially opens nightly starting at 8 p.m. and you can party well into the early morning hours on the weekends. We recommend you make a full evening of it by savoring a delicious meal beforehand at the VooDoo Steak restaurant, which also specializes in authentic Creole cuisine as well. This makes for the perfect place to pregame before you head up one floor to the Rio Las Vegas roof when the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub opens its doors. After all, one can not properly party in Sin City on an empty stomach.
We must mention the excellent bartenders here, who are top-notch and certainly add some extra flair to your night out. Be sure to order one of VooDoo’s signature cocktails, the Witch Doctor, which is a massive run-infused cocktail topped with dry ice. Once you have one smoking in your hand and take that first sip, you will really feel like your floating in the clouds.
While Las Vegas has many great clubs to choose from, when it comes to open-air partying, you need to experience a night high atop the Rio’s VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub.
