It seems every few months another Las Vegas nightclub closes down only to be refurbished and rebranded into a different nightclub. The cycle starts, ends and repeats again. When Caesars Palace closed its long-running PURE nightclub in late 2014, no one had any idea it would reopened the doors in early 2015 as OMNIA nightclub and change the Sin City nightlife.
With three levels spanning 75,000-square-feet, there are super clubs and then there’s OMNIA. Not only is this more than double the previous space of PURE, but also the newest Caesars Palace hotspot is now so big that it took over the former World Series of Poker tournament rooms. As OMNIA is a Hakkasan owned nightclub, some of the world’s biggest DJs are among its residents, including Calvin Harris and Steve Angello. But rather than the DJs grabbing all the attention, what really sets OMNIA apart from the pack is its interactive décor. A massive, high-tech chandelier hangs from the ceiling with eight enormous rings constantly rotating, which makes the light fixture seem more like the planet, Saturn. The light show changes nightly too, as it’s synched to the music and energy of the room, so no two shows are ever the same. When the main room is going off during peak hours of operation, there’s no bigger spectacle in Sin City. If big room dance music isn’t your thing, OMNIA has a club-within-a-club called The Heart of OMNIA, which caters to fans of more discerning styles of dance music as well as hip hop.
In less than six months, OMNIA has overtaken Hakkasan’s namesake nightclub at the MGM Grand as the premiere nightlife venue in Las Vegas. Even though OMNIA is regularly at capacity, the state-of-the-art climate control has been implemented to assure you won’t sweat up a storm on the dance floor. Should you need to step out for some fresh air, the terrace from PURE was kept intact and provides a stunning view of the Las Vegas Strip. The elegant ambiance was inspired by Shakespeare’s play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” making this an enchanting place to bring your date.
While nightclubs in Sin City will continue to come and go, OMNIA has certainly raised the bar. Combining all the best elements from its competitors with plenty of originality on display as well, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more mind-blowing night on the dance floor.
