The recent rash of celebrities listing or selling their Miami Beach homes is a little long for our liking. Matt Damon, Billy Joel and now Rosie O’Donnell all seem poised to leave the Magic City. O’Donnell has cited that they didn’t use the home enough and that it was too big. Fair enough. It could also be that she doesn’t want her few days spent in the home per year to be listening to the construction sure to take place in the near future at the next door to the hotly debated historically preserved Hochstein manse. Either way, her property has a the fun-yet-dubious distinction of being the same residence the Coptics used as their ganga-smoking HQ as illustrated in the recent documentary Square Grouper.
While it is doubtful the O’Donnells channeled any of that energy, the home was completely remodeled to the highest standard. In what was probably not a coincidence, the TV personality listed the home on the same the day her OWN Network show ended in March 2012. The final selling price of $12,675,000 was a steal – and significantly lower than the original ask of close to $20 million. Take a look inside and check out the amazing kitchen aquarium.
