The Pearl at the Palms was rockin’ Saturday night and it seemed all of Vegas came a knockin’ to a co-headlining show by two rock institutes — Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo and Cheap Trick.

Benatar and Giraldo took the stage first with Benatar warning the crowd that they had just started the new tour so the audience would be their “guinea pigs tonight.” They went on to perform all their hits trying to play one song from every era as Benatar explained “either you’ll drop dead or we will” referencing the group’s long history in the rock world. They told stories in between songs and Benatar belted out hits like “Heartbreaker,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “We Belong.”

Following a quick set change that transformed the stage into a blur of checkered patterns, Cheap Trick took the stage full of energy performing hits including “The Flame,” “On Top of the World” and of course “I Want You To Want Me.” The group even performed their reworked version of Big Star’s “In the Street” — more commonly known as the theme song for the hit show “That ’70s Show.”
