Texas’ dining scene just got even hotter. On October 28, the MICHELIN Guide revealed its second annual selection in a star-studded ceremony at Houston’s Wortham Theater Center, spotlighting the chefs and restaurants redefining gastronomy across the Lone Star State.

This year, three new restaurants joined the coveted One MICHELIN Star family. In Dallas, Mamani dazzled inspectors with its French contemporary flair—helmed by Chef Christophe De Lellis, whose pedigree includes nearly a decade at Joël Robuchon’s legendary Las Vegas kitchen. In San Antonio, Isidore debuted with a live-fire hearth, midcentury style, and a menu rooted in Texas ingredients with Indigenous influences. Also in San Antonio, Nicosi was elevated for its theatrical, dessert-only tasting menu, where guests surrender their phones and immerse themselves in an avant-garde experience spanning acid, umami, bitter, and sweet.

With these additions, Texas now boasts 18 Starred restaurants, a testament to the state’s culinary dynamism. But the recognition didn’t stop at Stars. Two new MICHELIN Green Stars—awarded to restaurants championing sustainability—were given to Nixta Taqueria in Austin and Isidore in San Antonio, joining Dai Due and Emmer & Rye as leaders in shaping a more responsible future for dining.

Meanwhile, eight new Bib Gourmands were added, celebrating approachable, flavor-forward spots offering “great food at a great value.” Think Houston’s ChòpnBlọk and da Gama Canteen, San Antonio’s Mezquite, and Austin’s Mercado Sin Nombre. Altogether, the 2025 Guide showcases 140 restaurants spanning 33 cuisines, from barbecue to omakase, proving that Texas’ culinary story is one of both breadth and brilliance.

For those looking beyond the plate, the MICHELIN Guide also continues to highlight hotels, including Houston’s One Key-awarded Hotel Saint Augustine, Austin’s Commodore Perry Estate (two Keys), and San Antonio’s riverside jewel, Hotel Emma (two Keys).
