Five Sunset Strip Clubs to Hold 1980s Themed Night to Promote “Rock of Ages”


Five clubs located on the Sunset Strip will be holding themed nights on Friday to help promote the new movie Rock of Ages, which is set in 1987. The clubs will feature 80s band performances, celebrity appearances and ticket giveaways for the world premier of Rock of Ages, starring Tom Cruise and Russell Brand.

The rock clubs that will be participating on the Sunset Strip include the House of Blues, Viper Room, Key Club, Whiskey a Go Go and the Roxy Theater. Each one will have a 1980s-themed event on Friday in light of the nationwide opening of Rock of Ages on June 15.

The film is an adaptation of the Broadway musical, which was set on the Sunset Strip in 1987. Directed by Adam Shankman, the movie features numerous Hollywood actors such as Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mary J. Blige, Alec Baldwin and more.

A few hotels will be offering packages in West Hollywood for the full Sunset Strip experience. At Le Montrose Suite Hotel, you can purchase the Rock the Weekend Package for $269 per night plus tax, which includes accommodation in Executive Suite, breakfast for two, complimentary parking and a toast of the featured cocktail ROCK OF AGES upon arrival. The package ia valid from June 1-3.

Over at Le Parc Suite Hotel, the Rock of Ages Package is available for $299 per night plus tax and includes accommodation in a newly renovated Studio King Suite, overnight valet parking with full in-and-out privileges, breakfast for two, and a choice among several Rock of Ages-themed cocktails. This package is also available June 1-3.
