Amy Winehouse’s Personal Artwork to be Auctioned at the Cob Gallery

Known for her sultry voice and wild lifestyle, the late Amy Winehouse continues to make headlines following her untimely death nearly a year ago. The English singer and songwriter’s personal paintings, done in collaboration with ex-husband Pete Doherty, will be showcased during an auction on Friday at the Cob Gallery.
A series of paintings Winehouse had drawn with her ex-husband and former Liberties front man Pete Doherty will be showcased at the “On Blood: A Portrait of the Artist” display and auction at the Cob Gallery on Friday. With over 20 works to be shown, the highlight is a small self-portrait named “Ladylike” of Winehouse.
“Ladylike” is expected to go for approximately $128,000. The piece is done in arterial splatter, a technique that includes using blood as the primary medium.
The exhibit will also feature Doherty’s blood artistry including and other collaborations by artist Alize Meurisse and French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg.
