The world’s leading truffle purveyor Urbani Truffles recently opened its latest enterprise, Truffle Lab NYC, the first of its kind in the U.S.
The lab will serve as a test kitchen, tasting room, and creative space––supplied by high-end design and kitchenware brands, including Listone Giordano, Agnelli USA, and Bormioli Rocco USA––with the intent to bring together truffle lovers in the Big Apple.
Led by culinary director Christine Berni-Silverstein, former Master Chef, “Season 5” finalist, the lab will host international culinary events, exclusive dinners, private events, and cooking demonstrations––all truffle-influenced, of course––as well as top chefs from all over the world showcasing their culinary creativity.
“Together, we have transformed our New York showroom into a haute cuisine destination that will inspire and engage world-class chefs, truffle lovers, and food enthusiasts alike,” Giammarco Urbani, CEO of Urbani Truffles USA, said.
The first cooking demonstration, “Truffle Pasta 101,” taking place May 9, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., will be “a hands-on class in creating pasta from scratch” and will incorporate the use of truffle products.
A schedule of weekly events and tickets for purchase are available here.
Since Urbani’s founding in 1850, the globally recognized brand now produces an annual average of more than 100 tons of truffles and truffle products.
