Eyebrows raised several years ago when Mochi Craft entered the lobsterboat market with its Dolphin series. After all, what did an Italian builder known for high-gloss wood have in common with yachts known for decidedly conservative, Downeast style? People changed their minds once they saw how the yachts, from 44 to 74 feet, blended the open-air enjoyment of a lobsterboat with the stylish livability of a cruising boat.

Hermès may have dropped Jean Paul Gaultier from their line (it was announced in May that Christophe Lemaire would take over as creative director of the storied luxury brand), but that left room for other luxury collabs.

Living up to its billing by top travel publisher Frommer's as one of the “300 Unmissable Events & Festivals Around the World," the annual Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance offered a wide range of beautiful and unusual automobiles during its well attended staging last Sunday. Held every Father’s Day on the famed Beverly Hills luxury shopping corridor, this year’s Concours on Rodeo was themed “A Different Road,” and as such, featured some unique one-offs and concept cars, in addition to more familiar corporate sponsors.

When I think of organic foods I think of earth-friendly, fewer chemicals, fresher and healthier. As an overall consensus I am a fan. There is nothing better than walking home with a bag full of farmer’s market goodies, or strolling through the lotions and potions in Whole Foods. Organic, what does this mean to you? If you’re list consists of “fewer calories” you may be in for a surprise.
