Angelenos and Angelinas who head eastward to the Big Apple make it a point to make a pit stop at Milk Bar—where sweet dreams and sweeter fantasies come to life. Now, they won’t have to go further than Melrose Avenue, where two-time James Beard award-winning Chef, founder and CEO Christina Tosi has just opened up her latest dessert haven location.

“LA is one of the most gritty, inspiring, individualistic cities. It’s been incredible to live and work here over the past few years, immersing myself in the culture and dreaming up what Milk Bar LA will be,” began Tosi. “The result is a Milk Bar like no other, a collection of all our gathered inspiration in one 4,000 square foot spot – it has all the OG elements and spirit of our New York roots, PLUS tons of new innovations and surprises that capture the magic of its distinctly West Hollywood neighborhood.”

The 15th location in the Milk Bar portfolio—the Melrose Avenue store—is unlike every other Milk Bar that came before it. Though it stays true to its ethos and includes original Milk Bar favorites, it also has an experimental classroom, an imaginative kitchen and an R&D laboratory. As a result, LA customers are privy to the brand’s newest discoveries and creations.

The 4,000 square-foot space—the biggest Milk Bar location made to date—was previously a laundromat and a Baskin Robbins ice cream shop. In addition to the onsite retail shop, it houses a classroom and a kitchen, where creations will be made and shipped out for the company’s ecommerce platform. It’ll be hard to miss the recognizable neon-pink sign, as well as the whimsical design elements, like a take-out window and a custom cake mural wall.
