John Keeler

Entrepreneur | July 30, 2012

John R. Keeler came up with the idea for Blue Star Foods over fifteen years ago, in his own Miami kitchen. Since that time, the company has grown into the leading crabmeat company in the United States, and has even expanded into Europe and Asia. The company produces an average of over seven million pounds of crabmeat each year. In 2003, Blue Star became the first company to use eco-friendly packaging for crabmeat. Keeler also helped launch Blue Star TV on the company’s website, which features cooking video demonstrations by the award-winning chef Michael Schwartz. Over tine, Blue Star Foods has proudly taken on the title as America’s Favorite Crabmeat.
