Come Fly With Me: Sinatra Family Unveils 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon at the Namesake’s Restaurant
Oh, if Frank Sinatra were alive today, this event would be perfect. It pairs the only restaurant sanctioned by the Sinatra family to bear his name along with the introduction of Sinatra Family Estates 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon. On June 18, Wynn Resorts honors Come Fly With Me, named for Sinatra’s first No. 1 album.
The limited-edition wine is the collaboration of Danielle Price, executive wine director of Wynn Resorts, and Sinatra’s three children, Tina, Nancy and Frank Jr., and granddaughter Amanda Erlinger.
Chef Theo Schoenegger starts the event in the courtyard of Sinatra at Encore Las Vegas, where guests can unwind with cocktails and canapés under the stars. The reception then moves into the restaurant’s dining room, where Schoenegger will present a four-course menu of refined Italian dishes for a seated dinner. Guests can also preview La Voce, the Sinatra Family Estates Italian wine slated for release in September 2010.
Schoenegger’s Gamberi e Cannellini alla Toscana (Santa Barbara spot prawns served with cannellini beans and rosemary oil) is paired with Bella Vista Franciacorta sparkling wine, while Agnolotti con Tartufo Estivo (small pockets of pasta stuffed with bufala ricotta, fine herbs and fresh summer truffle) is accompanied by the La Voce Sangiovese. The 2007 Sinatra Family Estates Cabernet Sauvignon is paired with Fileto di Bue (beef tenderloin bathed in porcini mushrooms and red wine braised spring onions) — a perfect complement to the round, lush wine.
The seated four-course dinner begins at 7 p.m. and costs $175 per person. For tickets, contact Rustin Jensen at 702.770.2249. For more information on Sinatra Family Estates, visit www.sinatrafamilyestates.com.
