Yesterday, Brandless, a new ecommerce experience based in the Bay Area, opened its digital doors. The direct-to-consumer website, from entrepreneurs Tina Sharkey and Ido Leffler, is an online-only store that sells everyday basics for just $3. The 115 products range from canned tomato sauce to cotton balls to notebooks. The duo believe that people shouldn’t have to pay more for organic, non-GMO products, so they created one good-for-you item in each category (body lotion, ketchup, toothpaste, etc.). With more than $50 million raised in venture capital, Brandless could be a major player in the consumer goods industry.

Jake, the luxe local clothing brand from darling designer Jake Wall, has released its latest wedding collection. Dubbed La Dolce Vita, the collection, which was inspired by Federico Fellini’s classic film, includes bold styles for males and females including tuxedos, gowns, and jumpsuits. The custom-made items feature classic silhouettes with striking details—perfect for the untraditional bride and groom. “La Dolce Vita is an exploration of that very Italian ideal of ‘sprezzetura’—that effortless style that we all covet,” Wall said in a statement. “Picking up great notes of iconic Roman architecture, we are at once taking advantage of these classic inspirations and mixing in our modern opinions to create something bold and fresh.” All of the looks (four for men and eight for women) are timeless with hand-selected textiles that allude to the beauty of Rome. “Reminding us that love is love, the custom-made designs are testaments to the ideal that personal style trumps tradition,” Nathan Fuja, Wall’s co-founder of Jake explains. The wedding looks are available now at Jake’s Jackson Square showroom.
