NYC’s One World Trade Center’s Observatory Will Blow Your Mind

Circle of screens

At times it’s a privilege to be a journalist and have access to New York’s hottest places and A-list events. Today was no exception when Haute Living visited One World Observatory for a press launch of Vera Bradley’s new pared down and sophisticated line of bags— very contrary to the colorful printed bags they are known for.

The experience begins in the Sky pod elevator lined with HD TV’s that burst to life with New York’s morphing landscape from the 1700’s to 2015. It’s so cool!

If that is not enough when you step off to the102 floor (top) you really have to get your sea legs because of the dizzying height and the 360 panoramic views of The Big Apple. The view is beyond expectations.

There is a film presentation in the SEE FOREVER theater about New York while outside a gentleman talks on headphones to a crowd surrounded by a circular grouping of screens about little known New York facts. One such fact is that there is a farm agriculture on many rooftops which supply restaurants and residents with fresh produce.

If you feel peckish after looking down from this gigantic perch you’ll have access to curated eateries from the casual café’ to the fine dining restaurant they call One. Both places are centered so that the expansive views are enjoyed fully while eating.

The visit was fantastic and we recommend it to natives and visitors alike.

One World Trade Center, 285 Fulton Street New York NY. It’s recommended that you buy tickets on-line prior to your visit. Buy them here
