CHANEL’s N°5 CULTURE exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo



On view at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris is N°5 CULTURE CHANEL, a special exhibition that is part of the museum’s guest program and which explores the visualization of the iconic perfume through specific moments in time, in particular those that connect it to the Avant-Garde art movement.

The exhibition has been entrusted once again to the curatorship of Jean-Louis Froment, who also curated previous editions of Culture Chanel, held successively in Moscow’s Pushkin State Museum for Fine Arts, in Beijing at the National Art Museum of China and most recently, at the Opera House in Canton.

The exhibition focuses on the strong partnership between Chanel and the arts with the works on display revealing the countless inspirations of Mademoiselle Chanel. Among the works shown are pieces by her artist friends such as Pablo Picasso, Igor Stravinsky, Francis Picabia and Guillaume Apollinaire.


The N°5 CULTURE CHANEL exhibition ultimately showcases how the artistic contribution of No. 5 and how it has influenced the lives and work of some of the most influential people in the 20th century.
