Lamborghini’s Aventador is surpassing sales expectations after having sold its 1,000th unit in just 15 months. Its predecessor, the Murciélago, took 29 months to achieve the same feat.
The triumphant Argos Orange Speedster ended up in the hands of Bavarian architect and Lambo enthusiast Hans Scheidecker, who was handed the keys by CEO Stephan Winkelmann at a press event in Bologna.
- According to Lamborghini, they still have another 18 months worth of orders for the V12 model, which they hope is plenty of time for the Aventador to break more records. Workers at the carmaker’s production line have already increased their output to meet the high demand, from three cars a day to nine cars every two days.
