Haute Yoga

Have you ever just wanted to let loose and act like an animal? The only downfall to this unacceptable behavior is that you are no longer a diaper-clad toddler, and the wrath of your mother is far too much to bare. Thank goodness you have me because I have found a solution to the madness, while still conducting myself as a proper lady. Lucky you, I like to live life to the fullest and believe there are no substitutions.

The solution is Liz Arch and her Primal Yoga Class. In this class be prepared for the fusion of Hatha yoga, Capoeira, Kung Fu and Tai Chi. En route to a better body you will strike, kick, punch, sweat and crawl on the floor all while finding your fluid breathe. Sounds like just another day in the jungle, right?

Arch got her start over ten years ago growing up on the beaches of Hawaii. Prior to recently moving back to Southern California to begin teaching her signature class, she served as the vice president of Budokon. As a certified Budokon Sensei, she traveled the world teaching one of the first art forms to merge yoga, martial arts, and living arts into a complete system. Some fans of it are Jen Aniston and Courtney Cox. Did you see Jen on the cover of GQ donning only a necktie? You did? I rest my case then. She can thank Liz and Budokon for her bodacious bod.

By now I know you are wondering where you can take her class. She teaches at three different locations. Depending on where you are located head on over to YogaCo in Santa Monica, The Hub on the Westside, or Up Dog Yoga & Cycling in West Hollywood. What I love about Liz’s class is that her spirit fills the room with a constant friendly smile and makes your workout feel like playtime. She enables her students to let it all go and forget about their inhibitions. Primal Yoga is a total body workout, that even exercises the soul, and is like nothing you have ever experienced before.
