Alzheimer’s actually IS a laughing matter in Seth Rogen‘s opinion.
The 31-year-old comedian had the celebrity crowd of attendees in stitches during his second annual Hilary for Charity benefit last week; the organization seeks to bring Alzheimer’s awareness to a younger generation.
Rogen sought to entertain, even performing with the Backstreet Boys during the evening. Other performers included Kevin Hart, Nick Kroll, Bo Burnham, Ken Marino, John Mulaney, Justin Willman, Billy Eichner, Garfunkel & Oates and Sadie & The Blue Eyed Devils.
Attendees at the Avalon Hollywood included the founder and his wife, Lauren Miller, as well as Mindy Kaling, Jack Black, Zoe Lister-Jones, Ahna O’Reilly and Nia Vardalos.
Said Rogen of his charity: “In the 70s, things like cancer were very taboo to talk about. Now it is on the forefront of things that are getting charitable attention. Bringing Alzheimer’s into the limelight is what we’re trying to do.”
