Jason Bateman Purchases Ernest Borgnine’s Estate for $3 Million

Actor Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, have purchased the estate of the late actor Ernest Borgnine. The $3 million purchase comes off the heels of the announcement that hit TV show Arrested Development, staring Bateman, is returning to television.

Located in Beverly Hills on a knoll above Mulholland Drive, the 6,148-square-foot estate features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a gated driveway, large motor-courtyard, formal entry hall, grand staircase, spacious living and family rooms, paneled library, office, den, formal dining room, breakfast room, kitchen, pool and patio areas. There is also a spacious, one-bedroom guesthouse with a living room and kitchen.

According to LA Curbed, the home was originally designed by architect L.G. Scherer in 1938, and was owned by Borgnine for nearly 60 years.
