Haute Event: La Cofradia Celebrates Fifth Anniversary with Ceviche Guru Chef Javier Wong

On Thursday, Feb. 3, more than 200 guests, including Consul of Peru Eduardo Chavarri, gathered at La Cofradia, a landmark Coral Gables Peruvian restaurant. The event, hosted by co-owners Rodrigo Rojas and Jaime Dickinson, was held in celebration of the La Cofradia’s fifth anniversary. The LAN Airlines sponsored evening took place in the restaurant’s beautifully renovated dining room and private event space, and welcomed guests in a manner that truly resonated the restaurant’s emphasis on brotherhood, fraternity, and association.

The event featured a special guest host in addition to the restaurant’s owners. Chef Javier Wong, an internationally acclaimed ceviche guru, joined Rojas and Dickinson in a toast to the restaurant’s five years of extraordinary Peruvian cuisine. The gastronomic legend left his much sought-after ceviche temple in Lima, Peru for the weekend to prepare his famous food for the guests of La Cofradia. The attendees of the event enjoyed hors d’oeuvres from La Cofradia’s new menu along with complimentary cocktails courtesy of GREY GOOSE Vodka, Pisco O, and Montes Alpha wine.

La Cofradia is located at 160 Andalusia Ave., Coral Gables, 305.914.1300
