Art Basel Miami Beach Update

Art Basel Miami Beach is finally upon us. Haute Living Florida’s Art Basel edition just arrived from the printers, and the issue will make its way online this week. But even within its 206 pages, there wasn’t room to mention all of the events, exhibitions, and fabulous displays that will appear all over the city during the fairs. So throughout the week, we will be posting information about some of the non-stop cultural and not-so-cultural happenings. If you would like your event included, please send an email to Stephanie Wilson at swilson@hauteliving.com.

Tonight, you can join City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and Joey and Thea Goldman, as they commemorate the opening of their new Italian cafe, Joey’s, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  The ribbon cutting will mark the opening of the first new restaurant in Wynwood since the area began its transformation into a hip Arts District nearly a decade ago. Joining the mayor in this historical event is Joey’s father and partner, Tony Goldman, founder of the award-winning Goldman Properties, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month, along with other notable attendees. The restaurant will open for business tomorrow, just in time for Art Basel.
