Dress as your favorite character and explore your sci fi fantasy side at the annual Dragon Con 2017. Dragon Con is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science & fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, arts, music and film in the universe. Even if you are not into the whole fantasy scene, the people watching is unbeatable. Be on the lookout for some A-list celebs- we hear a few are going to be going incognito. COOKOUT 3RD ANNUAL LABOR DAY PIG OUT AT THE AVALON

Labor Day calls for a cookout where you can pig out. Join Oak Steakhouse and Colletta in Avalon’s Palmer Plaza on Sunday, September 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. for their 3rd annual Labor Day Pig Out. For those of you who want to get that last beach trip in, you should definitely head to Sea Island for the 3rd Annual Southern Grown Festival. There will be music by Drive By Truckers, lots of culinary delights and an all around impressive celebration of the Sea Island Southern culture and distinctive style.
