Style Saves Lives – The 7th Annual Back-To-School Event Is Back
On August 19th and August 20th, people from distinct intellects and beliefs will come together for The two F’s: Fashion and Fundraisers. Once again, style saves lives. Rachael Russell – philanthropist fashionista – Isabela Rangel Grutman & Haute 100-lister Dave Grutman’s MMG, are proud to announce the 7th annual Style Saves Back-To-School event. The philanthropic happening will take place at the Style Saves warehouse in Wynwood – a generous donation by Metro 1 and Wynwood Park.

Over 4,000 students, coming from over 60 organizations – such as Miami-Dade Public Schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Voices for Children, His House, Communities In Schools, Mentor Network, Lotus House, The Guatemalan-Maya Center, and more— are expected to attend the event and be styled. They will also have access to a myriad of activities such as arts & crafts, dance classes, a photo booth, face painting, and science experiments from the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science.

Aside from these events, students will be given haircuts from Junior & Hatter and IGK, along with make-up touch ups by Gee Beauty. With the help from more than 200 volunteers, Style Saves raises funds to benefit low income families in the Miami area—those who might typically find the back-to-school season to be a financially burdensome time now can associate it with a positive milestone in their child’s life.
For those who wish to help, Style Saves is accepting donations of polo shirts and T-shirts, khaki and denim pants, sneakers, backpacks, and school supplies for boys and girls ages 6 and up.

There is a particular kind of restaurant that does not so much open in a neighborhood as detonate inside it.
