On Sunday, March 28, haute Miamians will gather together with Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Kelly Rowland to celebrate the launch of her new non-profit organization at ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa in Miami Beach.
The former Destiny’s Child member will be in the company of friends Serena Williams, Tina Knowles, Jay Sean, New York Giant Kareem McKenzie, and T.V. personality Lala Vasquez to commemorate “I Heart My Girlfriends,” an interactive support system for girls and women of all ages.
The private fete will take place at the View Bar terrace, where invited guests will nibble on delectable bites provided by ONE and savor delicious cocktails courtesy of Grey Goose Vodka.
The charity, which is Rowland’s first, was launched in early 2010 and aims to encourage girls and women of all ages to empower themselves through education and outreach programs without the constraints of their circumstances. “I Heart My Girlfriends” is reaching out as a global investment to encourage women everywhere not to just make a living but to build a life of their own. The program will focus on areas of self-esteem and empowerment, character education, and obesity prevention.
The private event will take place between 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. .
