One of the hottest pre-event parties for Super Bowl XLV was the Dallas Superbash 2011, hosted by former Baywatch babe herself Pamela Anderson. Held at the Fashion Industry Gallery downtown, aka The F.I.G, the party was the perfect place to see and be seen this weekend.

Twisted and contorted figures, vibrantly colored, and laden with various states of heightened emotion, the work of Lebanese artist Charbel Samuel Aoun aims to present the spectator with real and poignant portrayals of the depths of human emotion. They seek to engage the viewer emotionally rather than simply appearing pleasing to the eye.

Steve Clark's art show on Friday night was a huge success. His paintings are beautiful and it was such a fun crowd. Lisa Cant, Liz Cohen, Ari Horowitz, and other hip young models and artists. Then it was off to Devon and Phil Radziwill's house for Phil's 30th birthday party, which was a ton of fun. There was even a dancer popping out of a huge pink cake. Guests like Phil's brother John Michael, who flew in to be there, Lauren and Andres Santo Domingo, Tico Mugrabi, Stavros Niarchos, Valerie Booster, Lesley Schulhof, Christina Floyd, Topper Mortimer, Al Acquavella, Fabiola and Jason beckman, Brett Heyman, Peter Davis, Derek Blasberg, Lyle Maltz and Sylvana Soto were all there to celebrate.

Kicking off the big Super Bowl weekend, athletes and philanthropists alike gathered for the Legends of Charity Dinner at the Hilton Anatole on February 3rd. Hosted by sportscaster Joe Buck, the evening featured a live and silent auction, sit-down dinner and ceremony for the lauded Pat Summerall award.

Last night, Daniella Rich threw a birthday party for her husband Richard Kilstock. It was a dinner party for 100 people at the home of Denise Rich. A Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant,Matsugen is where the esteemed chef channels his love and appreciation for Asian flavors and aesthetics into a Japanese soba shop. Soba are buckwheat noodles that are served cold or hot, with a variety of toppings. They are especially difficult to master, because the noodles must be 100% buckwheat, which means that the noodle has no gluten to hold it together - thus, the noodles must be hand formed and cooked VERY carefully so they don't fall apart. It is an art form that is not often seen in America, and one that I was anxious to try. I had never tried TRUE soba before-only ones with regular white flour worked in-so I hoped I was in for a treat in the modern, elegant, simply designed dining room.

I had the honor of being invited to a gem tucked away in the Wynwood Arts District at Nina Torres Fine Art in Miami. It was the vernissage preview of Maestro Roberto Altmann’s latest works and highlighting a selection of pieces being sent to the museum of Seoul, Korea. Roberto Altmann’s work speaks for itself, where in each piece you can notice he uses his 30 years of experience and styles to bring out the human form from the background.
