LoveShackFancy Leads Buckhead Village’s Big Year: Inside Atlanta’s Big Retail Boom

City Guide, Top Main Featured | June 8, 2026

LoveShackFancy has opened its first Georgia store at Buckhead Village, a 2,100-square-foot space designed to look like a historic French townhouse—powder-pink and cream walls, intricate moldings, pale oak floors, brass rails, and fresh roses. Founded by Rebecca Hessel Cohen in 2013, the New York label built its following on a romantic, vintage-inspired look heavy on florals, ruffles, and bows, and the store carries most of its world: the main ready-to-wear line plus activewear, swim, accessories, fragrance, home, kids, vintage, and bespoke pieces, along with a selection of other female-founded brands.

It’s a brand known well beyond its own racks. LoveShackFancy has run collaborations with Crocs, Stanley, Target, Gap, and Pottery Barn, and launched a beauty line at Sephora—the kind of reach that turns a store opening into an event. The Buckhead Village location, the company’s 29th, is the newest name in a year that has brought an unusual number of openings to the district, with one more, a long-awaited return, still ahead.

The label arrives alongside a run of female-founded and design-led brands. Hill House Home, the company behind the Nap Dress, opened its first Georgia store next to Billy Reid, carrying women’s apparel, accessories, kids, and home. Anthropologie picked Buckhead Village for its second standalone Maeve boutique, a space with scalloped brass door pulls and striped tile set into oak floors. “We chose Buckhead Village because it’s a destination where our customer already feels at home,” said Mindy Massey, Global Executive Director of Retail at Anthropologie Group, citing the district’s mix of boutiques and dining.

The openings run past fashion. Roche Bobois took a showroom on Peachtree Road for its furniture. Great Many, a New York hair-growth studio, chose the district for its first Atlanta location. ME+EM, the British label with a following that includes the Royal Family, opened its first store in the Southeast here.

The Names Already There

The newcomers join a roster that was already deep. Buckhead Village counts Vuori, Jenni Kayne, and Veronica Beard among its tenants, along with Patek Philippe, Theory, and Diptique.  Atlanta-born Spanx has been there for years.  So has Don Purcell, the fine jewelry, art, and gift gallery opened by the longtime Jeffrey general manager after the boutique’s closure—a quietly fitting tenant, given what’s coming next.

The layout sets it apart from a conventional mall. The district runs across six landscaped Buckhead streets, walkable and open-air, with cafés and communal greens between the storefronts—closer to a town center than a shopping center, and the model most of the new arrivals were after.

What’s Next

The most-watched opening is still to come. Jeffrey, the boutique founded by Jeffrey Kalinsky, is returning to Buckhead, where it ran for years as the city’s main destination for high fashion before closing in 2020—the same closure that sent its general manager, Don Purcell, across the district to open his own store. Kalinsky is reopening independently this time, without outside investors, and running the store himself. The new Jeffrey will carry Gucci, Balenciaga, Loewe, Bottega Veneta, and Dries Van Noten, with a styling lounge and valet service.
