Thursday started out with Dior hosting Le Petit Déjeuner to honor the New York Presbyterian Lying-In Hospital at Samantha Boardman’s townhouse. Guests there were Ulla Parker, Simone Levinson, Natalie Kaplan, Jane Wagman, Taylor Olsen, and Dr. Frank Chervenak. Then a little Soul Cycle spin class before I was off to Cipirani with Ulla and Inga Rubenstein. Then, Andy Valmorbida and Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld presented RETNA, the “Hallelujah World Tour.” Fabiola Beracasa, Elisa Lipsky, Julia Rotifeld, Pippa Cohen, Peter Davis, and Stavros Niarchos were all there.

This week a contract was signed between Juergen Sauer, Mercedes-Benz Russia CEO and Alexander Shumsky, the general producer of Russian Fashion Week, reported by Russian press. Opening day jitters did not seem to phase any of the designers who showcased today; a stellar lineup that included several MBFW alumni in addition to several new comers. The day started off with Nicholas K and BCBGMAXAZRIA; Luca Luca, Duckie Brown, and Mara Hoffman were on the scene in the afternoon, and the evening rounded out with Eva Minge, Christian Siriano, and finally Irina Shabayeva whose show began at 9 p.m.
