As Michael began describing the 911 Speedster, I realized this is the latest version of the nostalgic Speedster from 1953 that most Americans relate to those black and white images we see of James Dean in Rebel with Without a Cause.

Anyone who has met me knows of my infinite love for both Irish pubs and open bars. So needless to say when Fado's Irish Pub and Restaurant welcomed over 400 of Miami's VIPs to an exclusive cocktail party on Feb. 1 to celebrate the pub's grand opening I graciously volunteered to endure a Tuesday evening filled with Irish pub far, traditional Irish performances and of course last but not least a premium whiskey tasting bar (all in the name of journalism of course!)

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, San Francisco Performances and Gordon and Ann Getty hosted the San Francisco Performances Annual Presenters Dinner. The dinner, held intimately at the Getty residence, honored cellist Alisa Weilerstein. The evening included performances by the acclaimed musician that featured Osvaldo Golijov’s Omaramor and a selection from Bach’s Cello Suites.
