New On The Chicago Club Scene: Hearts, Privét and Proof

It seem like every Chicago club staple went through a rename, remodel or relaunch this year. Here’s what’s new on the scene, what’s haute, what’s not, in a quick guide to Chicago’s newest nipped and tucked venues.

Hearts

The newest venture from the team behind Sound Bar, Y Bar and Crescendo, Hearts is a little more removed from downtown, but no less hot. A mix between rock and roll and Affliction, don your graphic tees and gel that hair high and jam out to progressive house.

Proof

Occupying the former bi-level space of Level, Proof is the new late night Gold Coast spot. Swanky black and white decor compliments the pretty club crowd and more upscale drink menu. Strawberry balsamic martini anyone?

Privét

The reincarnation of Le Passage, with a name meaning private, you’ll only get entry if you know someone, there is no list- no exceptions. Modeled after old-world royalty, European opulence and often compared to Studio 54, those afforded entry will be treated to concierge style service where every need is met. With just a phone call in advance, a car will be available to pick up guests and transport them to the red ropes in style.
