Tasting Table joined forces with Kahlua to host an exclusive 16-seat dinner. The team-up was in honor of the Delicioso Night In initiative which aims to showcase the importance of staying in and enjoying good food and conversation. In NYC, where we all run around night after night, how appropriate (and necessary) is that? Handsome Tasting Table CEO Geoff Bartokovics held the intimate dinner in his beautiful SoHo penthouse. The gorgeous Danielle Kyrillos of Top Chef: Just Desserts also attended. It was great to kick back with a menu inspired by Kahlúa’s Veracruz heritage. We started with oysters, carnitas tostadas and scallop ceviche and moved on to a decadent pork belly on masa mash, and Veracruz-style fish stew with a spicy tomato broth. The dessert course had everyone ooh-ing; a mexican hot chocolate cake with Kahlúa Creme Anglaise. To accompany our eats were Kahlua cocktails including a Kahlua Fizz and Kahlua Sour, new takes on the liquer that most people exclusively associate with a White Russian, the cocktails were pleasantly innovative and a good use of the rich, coffee flavors of the spirit.

On March 22 The Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne will be hosting their second annual All-Star Charity Tennis Event. The 2010 Sony Ericsson winners will be back for an intimate gathering before they take part in their next tournament taking place on March 23. Top tennis professionals will be enjoying a champagne reception with hors d’oeuvres starting from 4 to 8 p.m., while interacting in various tennis matches. Last night, ORNARE, the contemporary Brazilian furniture and design store in Miami's Design District, hosted the Kickoff Party for the Environmental Coalition of Miami & the Beaches' Annual "GreenRaiser" Party to take place on Thursday, April 21st. But now there’s another enticing reason to visit the casual, yet elegant restaurant located on Robertson – the innovative menu by its new Executive Chef, Giselle Wellman. Giselle Wellman joined Petrossian three months ago much to the delight of neighborhood regulars and new-comers alike. She previously worked at Mario Batali’s Del Posto and Jack’s La Jolla, most recently served in the kitchen of Thomas Keller at Bouchon Beverly Hills and is a master of fresh pasta and seafood.

The much anticipated O Cinema, located in Miami's Wynwood Arts District, quietly opened last weekend, serving as the host for the internationally acclaimed Bicycle Film Festival, during its stop in Miami. The new art establishment previously opened to the public for a sneak peek in December 2010 during Art Basel week, but closed immediately thereafter for further development and had until this week not shown signs of life.
