Ooh la la: Paris Club Comes to Chicago
RJ and Jerrod Melman are paving their own restaurant legacy in the Chi. The brothers are the sons of Richard Melman, Founder and Chairman of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, a Chicago-based corporation that owns over 80 well-known restaurants nationwide. The young entrepreneurs are on their third project with Paris Club. After the wildly successful collaborations of HUB51/SUB51 and LGO in Santa Monica, both have made significant strides from their days of busing tables in dad’s restaurants.
Taking over the former Brasserie Jo space, four-star chef Jean Joho of Everest is on deck preparing classical French fare. And expect lots of aphrodisiac, sensory foods including oysters, escargot, caviar and a plethora of small plates to share. They also have the ever popular and fast growing trend of Charcuterie boards. Just imagine you’re gazing over the Seine and don’t tell your butcher you’re cheating on him.
