Exotics Racing, the world’s largest supercar driving experience, continued its climb as industry leaders with the official grand opening of its new welcome center and the announcement of a new competitive racing series that will launch at the end of 2015.
Founders David Perisset and Romain Thievin cut the ribbon to the center located at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and gave details on the exciting racing series that will allow the general public to compete in real wheel-to-wheel racing similar to the “arrive and drive” business model Exotics Racing pioneered in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Using real racecars with tubular chassis, fiberglass body and sequential gearbox, the cars will now be available in the United States and the dream of becoming a racecar driver, even if for one day, can be a reality for men and women visiting Exotics Racing. Drivers are provided everything needed for a race, coached and trained and will be matched with equal cars, driving skills and technique to earn podium spots and the final $100,000 prize.
“We’ve provided our guests with the best of the best inside our fleet of exotics cars and this new welcome center now provides car and racing enthusiasts with the ultimate experience from the minute they step foot on campus,” said Perisset. “We’re upping the ante even more, making racing accessible and affordable with the new EXR racing series and now people will actually get to race another driver.”
Mayor Carolyn Goodman’s office also declared June 4 as “Exotics Racing Day” in the city.
Following the ribbon cutting, VIP guests walked the red carpet into the welcome center for an extravagant celebration. Guests were treated to ride alongs in Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsches while a few lucky winners received an unforgettable drifting experience from the EXR “Stig” in a powerful Corvette Z06. A DJ, saxophonist and live painting installation from the ISI Group added to the party atmosphere.
World champion pastry chef Claude Escamilla created a cake replication of the building and guests toasted to Exotics Racing’s future with a Moët champagne pyramid.
