Hillary Clinton Combats Elephants Poaching

News | July 16, 2013

Hillary Clinton has just agreed to save African elephants from deadly poaching, her new cause. The elephants are being slaughtered in inordinate numbers to supply the increasing demand for ivory in Asian countries, such as China. By pledging to use her political prowess, the former Secretary of State promises to enlist other powerful figures worldwide to aid the suffering creatures and end the illegal business.

Yesterday, she met privately with representatives from twelve environmental groups and National Geographic at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Central Park Zoo. Hillary Clinton previously showed concern for the animals’ plight last year when she hosted a conference regarding the issue in Washington.
