Spring Has Come Early at London’s Radio Rooftop Bar
Mark it in your day planner, because this is certain to be one of the most talked about openings in London this season: the prestigious ME Hotel is opening the Radio Rooftop Bar and Restaurant. Situated on the tenth floor of the hotel, the ME’s prime Strand location guarantees panoramic views of London’s most gorgeous landmarks — think St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Somerset House and the Houses of Parliament. What’s truly great about this bar though is that it fills a gaping hole in an area known for being devoid of stylish places to meet clients or friends for drinks and nibbles after work.
The huge wrap-around terrace is filled with low couches and umbrella-covered tables (and plenty of heaters and blankets to keep you warm until the weather is a little more agreeable). The dance music and creative cocktails might make you feel like you’re in Miami, but one glance out across the River Thames will bring you happily back home. And if breakfast meetings are more your thing, the rooftop opens early, offering tranquil views from 7am.
