The Concept of Home

It was amore at first sight. If there were such a thing as the Utopia of Furniture, it would certainly be the Anima Domus showroom, South Florida’s No. 1 interior design destination.

At Anima Domus, the most sought-after Italian brand names in the design world all come together under one roof. The showroom is sleek and elegant, boasting simple yet sophisticated pieces in dark woods, blacks, grays, and whites mixed in with pops of colorful reds and olive greens. Their collections span from Jesse, Poltrona Frau, Foscarini, Porada and Fiam to the likes of Alivar, Besana, Clei, Bonaldo, and Meridiani.

The idea for this Utopia was the brainchild of Marconi Naziazeni and his wife Silvia. He had a background in finance and customer service; she was an architect with a love for Italy and Italian design. With this distinct combination of skills and passion, the duo realized there was a desperate need in the design market for a place where consumers could find modern yet still livable Italian furniture. And so they found their niche, creating Anima Domus, now the go-to place for the best selection of contemporary luxury Italian furniture with an unparalleled staff of skilled design professionals.

There’s something inherently magical about fine Italian furniture; its intricate details, sturdy craftsmanship, and rich materials are the epitome of elegance. “Quality and design are synonymous with Italy,” Marconi explains. “For Italian furniture manufacturers, design, lifestyle, and quality are deeply rooted in their cultural background. Most of the companies and collections that we represent are family owned, and quality and design for them is a matter of pride. This is really what makes the difference.”

With this same mentality, the firm has created what Marconi describes as both an “evolutionary and revolutionary” partnership with Jesse Furniture, an upscale Italian brand that produces wardrobes, walk-in closets, beds, sofas, tables, and much more. “From our side, we needed a complete line that would be produced with the best that Italy has to offer. From their side, they needed a strong, local partner that could properly offer their line to consumers in South Florida. It’s a win-win situation from all points of view.” He adds: “I love that Jesse is still a family-owned and operated business. Their values are very much aligned with mine. If we have a situation, I get the phone and talk directly to their CEO, Francesca Jesse.”

Likewise, it is this wholesome, family-like quality the Naziazenis and their staff emit, which makes them so unique to work with. The relationships they have fostered with their clients speak volumes of their success. “The feedback that most clients give us is that they order from us because of our staff,” Marconi explains. “They are surprised by our level of knowledge and how accommodating we are.” The staff includes commercial manager Marko Djokic, sales associate Jonathan Martinez, and project development manager Cristiano Da Silva. “There are many showrooms in the market, but none of them can compete with us head-to-head because of our personnel. We provide a service that goes above and beyond what anyone else can offer… We are very lucky to have a first-class staff that takes care of the clients with the same philosophy I share.”
