A Trump-styled Touch-up

News | November 13, 2009

Straight-talking first-class entrepreneur Donald Trump is sprucing up his infamous Trump International Hotel and Tower in New York City to the tune of $30 million in renovations.

Trump will be updating the 167 guest rooms and suites starting in January 2010, but don’t worry, you’ll still have access to the luxury hotel because the renovations will be done in two stages, perfectly timed for the slower New York City travel months.

The first portion of the renovations will be carried out from January through April, and the other half will be done from June through September.

Reports indicate that the new décor will feature a color palette of predominantly grey and aubergine with elegant accents of ivory and caramel. New furnishings will be done in regal velvets and silk with rosewood, mahogany, maple and walnut finishes. Trump is also planning to incorporate Schonbek crystal chandeliers to complete the new high-end luxury design.

Set to be completely finished by Labor Day, the renovations at Trump Hotel and Tower New York are expected to only add to the building’s already incredible reputation. The hotel will remain open throughout the renovations, so if you’re headed to New York, don’t shy away from the constantly improving luxury spot.
