Irene Neuwirth’s latest design hits a very sweet spot.

The Venice-based jewelry designer has launched her first fragrance in conjunction with Barneys New York.

Given that she lives by the sea, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that notes of ocean spray can be found in her perfume, a summery scent that also includes floral notes.

Perfumer Ralf Schwieger, the man behind Marc Jacobs Men and Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll, is responsible for the designer’s perfume du jour.

Neuwirth’s scent is the third in the Barneys’ designer fragrance collection, which previously featured collaborations with L’Wren Scott and Greg Lauren; it retails for $195 at Barneys flagship stores and is packaged in a box with a blue watercolor design which is actually a magnified photograph of one of Neuwirth’s opals.
