Residents of Broward and Palm Beach counties- it’s your time to shine and give back.
Join artist William DeBilzan, the SHUZZ Fund‘s newest and primary benefactor, on Thursday, June 23 from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., as he hosts “Lamborghinis & Martinis” to raise funds for the local non-profit organization that focuses on providing new shoes to the needy in devastated and poverty-stricken areas around the world. It’s like our answer to Tom’s Shoes. The gallery, located at 38 East Atlantic Avenue, has donated seven paintings by DeBilzan and two paintings by David Banegas, another local and prominent artist. The pieces totaling nine are valued at more than $60,000. That’s a lot of shoes!
The colorful event will feature 25 luxurious Lamborghinis, live performances by local jazz musicians Jess Jones, Jr. and Chloe Dolandis, and live painting demos by the artists themselves, which will then be placed on auction as well. Neighboring restaurants and bars like 32 East, Caliente, Delux, Tryst, and Bull Bar will provide discounted fare and the delectable libations for the night.
The auction is already live and can be viewed by visiting William DeBilzan’s Art Gallery Facebook Page. To bid on the items prior to the Lamborghinis & Martinis benefit, contact William DeBilzan Art Gallery Director, Fernando Enrique Martinez at 561.654.9081, as all bids are being accepted over the phone.
The money raised at this event will benefit two very important groups: shoes will be hand delivered to the survivors of the tornado in Joplin, Missouri as well as poverty-stricken children in Peru. Party’s location: 2nd Avenue Block of Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Delray Beach.
