News | June 2, 2011

This Labor Day weekend, join more than 200 of L.A.’s most famous restaurants for a four-day culinary festival, THE TASTE, from Sept. 2-5, 2011. The Los Angeles Times and Food & Wine’s THE TASTE will bring together top chefs from around the city to host a weekend filled with everything from cooking demonstrations and restaurant tastings to epicurean discussions and seminars.

The culinary event, held throughout Downtown L.A, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood, will include nine memorable events ranging from Fashion Bites Brunch, where fashion and food merge together on Rodeo Drive, to the Art of Mixing, an introduction to the craft of concocting flavorsome beverages.

THE TASTE’s guests will be invited to savor signature dishes and delight in the mouth-watering creations of some of the leading figures of the culinary world. Renowned chefs including Roy Choi, Duff Goldman and Ray Garcia, along with other gourmet professionals, will partake in the gastronomic affair.

Jonathon Crocker, co-founder of THE TASTE, describes the event as a true celebration of the “incredible and diverse culinary scene represented in Los Angeles.” With eateries such as Bouchon, Fig, Terroni, The Foundry on Melrose, Sotto, and The Misfit divulging the secrets of their delicacies, there is no doubt the event will be a great success.

Tickets for THE TASTE are available now for purchase online at lattaste.eventbrite.com. A portion of the sales will go to charities including Share Our Strength, Beverly Hills Education Foundation, Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona, and Los Angeles Conservancy.
