Housewife mayhem, poolside swimwear fashion show, and tropical breezes strong enough to lift your skirt. Only in Miami will you find all of these things at once. Last night, New You Magazine (focuses on plastic surgery and anti-aging products) partnered up with the W Hotel South Beach to give its guests an exclusive chance to see Miami’s own Adriana De Moura, from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Miami, while viewing the latest swimwear collection by PONKO with a swanky fashion show.
The night began with Adriana showing up a little after 10 p.m. to pose in front of the several photographers as she, like all the other women there, held her lovely locks from her face and her bright red skirt down in place so the wind didn’t cast her away. While Adriana posed for her close ups, guests were able to receive complimentary manicures as they waited for the fashion show to start, and to stay out of the cold in the cozy cabanas. The one hour photo shoot ended up taking around two hours to finally finish up; remember, we are on Miami time.
Around midnight, the models finally braved their nearly-bare bronzed bodies in the tiny PONKO bathing suits, while managing to keep their high-raised hair perfectly in place. The bathing suits reflected South Florida with bold prints and shimmery details, while some of the designs were ultra sleek crafted out of neutral tones of greens, tans and slates, encrusted with pearls, which was a rather elegant touch.
As the fashion show came to a close, the guests quickly ran inside for cover from the wind to continue their night at the bar or slipping into WALL, for the exclusive after party. However, not before they received their gifts bags which included skin creams, an All You magazine and a miniature bunt cake. While there was no open bar, there was plenty to encounter, especially a funny Cuba Gooding Jr. running around chatting with guests and taking photos with fans. A typical night in the Magic City.
