Haute Event: Anthony Kennedy Shriver Hosts Best Buddies Charity Event at MontBlanc
On Tuesday evening, Anthony Kennedy Shriver hosted an intimate gathering at the MontBlanc boutique on Madison in honor of Best Buddies International. Shriver founded Best Buddies International in 1989 and is a passionate advocate for people with intellectual disabilities.
Guests mingled among the stunning merchandise and sipped on champagne. Anthony gave a moving speech on the important of working with people living with intellectual disabilities and what we all can do to give back. I took some time to chat with Anthony about how New Yorkers can get involved with Best Buddies. “Go to our website, send an email, go on one of our walks, donate money, have your kids raise money at their schools, there are so many things you can do to get involved,” he said.
