On Tuesday, Feb. 8, Provocateur Lounge along with VIEvents hosted the highly anticipated launch of Auténtico Tequila Alacrán, which took an eclectic mix of New York and Mexican society by storm.
Fashionistas/os, artists, entrepreneurs, and nightlife inner circles collided and blended easily with Mexico’s elite, whom kept themselves warm by taking shots of the Auténtico Tequila Alacrán immediately as they walked in. Guests included Amanda Hearst, Bertrand Stella (CEO of Marc Jacobs), Domingo Zapata, Donald Trump Jr., Joel Warren, Karen Watkins (Vice President of Christian Dior), Maria Elena Cabezut (Director of Mexican Cultural Institute), Santiago Barberi Gonzalez, and designer Carlos Mota. Other guests included Seth Greenberg, Aram Sabet, Tatian Byron, Thomas Kramer, the indie band Vampire Weekend, and other media groups such as MTV.
The place was branded from top to bottom, including life size ice sculptures of the A.T.A bottle. No one anticipated this tequila to be so easy to sip! To get the party started, white roses were scattered on every table alongside the chic matte-black A.T.A bottle. Guests marveled as the fresh 100% Weber Agave tequila hit their taste buds. If you weren’t at one of the 16 tables stocked all night with the tequila, Alacrán cocktails and unlimited shots were being served at the bar.
“The evening was phenomenal,” partner of Auténtico Tequila Alacrán, Ernesto Ibarra Henkel, stated. “The place was filled with smiling faces! Even the ones that were most difficult to impress were enjoying A.T.A. That was our main objective and I definitely believe New York gave us their seal of approval.”
