The Hualalai Spa is a little like what I imagine heaven on earth to be. Pre and post spa treatment, guests can relax in the open air Waiea or “Water of Life” garden complete with fragrant gardenia, a quiet stream, waterfall and lush foliage. Prior to your spa service enjoy alternating stints between the steam room, sauna and cold-plunge pool. A number of treatments available include the “Great Wall of Apothecary,” an impressive spot in the spa where guests can get interactive by mixing their very own apothecary scrubs from over 20 local natural ingredients like crushed macadamia nuts to hibiscus flowers. Book your experience in one of the new outdoor hales (aka suites) that feature outdoor showers, a hinoke (or Japanese soaking tub), and a private garden for relaxation or spa dining.
