A new dining experience has opened in the trendy south Buckhead section of Atlanta that is sure to have customers, critics and the curious, all hankering to find out what lies in store as they enjoy the ultimate dining experience. Owner Max Lotfi and general manager Laurend Abraham introduce a totally refreshing and welcomed concept to the Atlanta dining scene. Tantra is more than just a restaurant – it is a haven for diners to be entertained and rejuvenated.” Based on their overall goals for the restaurant and what they hope diners will take away from it, I think they are on the perfect track to equal overwhelming success.
Now let’s get to the good part, the food. Executive Chef Terry Dwyer crafted an exquisite menu that is filled with passion and stimulation sure to engulf the senses and sate your palate. Several menu standouts include: pan-roasted Japanese sea bass, pomegranate braised boneless beef short ribs served with potato-crusted basmati rice and braised greens, grilled ostrich filet with eggplant caponata and caramelized cipollini onion, chili seared Hawaiian tuna topped with cilantro yogurt sauce and foie gras pate and toasted brioche.
The décor also relies heavily on the richness and sensuality of a meal at Tantra. Beautifully lush colors, opulent fixtures, romantic and equally sexy lighting and a warm welcoming demeanor are what guests can expect upon entry. There is also room for private parties and various other celebrations where privacy is required. An innovative dessert and cocktail menu round out the overall impressive landscape of this new and exciting fixture on the Atlanta restaurant scene.
