LA’s Auto Show Showcases Luxury Green Cars

The Los Angeles Auto Show began yesterday, showcasing seven world debuts, futuristic concept cars, and a host of new green vehicles. The Audi A3 TDI was named as the 2010 Green Car of the Year.

The Audi A3 TDI is turning all kinds of environmentally-friendly heads this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show which kicked off on Friday. The event will be showcasing seven world debuts, futuristic concept cars, and a long line of new green vehicles, in addition to the 2010 Green Car of the Year, the Audi A3 TDI.

For the second year in a row a clean diesel, environmentally-friendly vehicle has take the prize for the 2010 Green Car of the Year, a clear indication of how the world is viewing luxury cars and where the future lies for living large while still leaving a smaller detrimental impact on the environment.

Another green car getting approving nods at the show this week is the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics concept car which is a futuristic prototype with a plug-in hybrid system. The pure innovative genius behind the design of this car is enough to stop you in your tracks, the environmentally-friendly aspects is the icing on the cake that makes you stick around to hear more.

Another exciting moment in the show is the introduction of the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid. This vehicle is the first gas and electric combined car to come out of the luxury brand, and it’s highly likely that this beauty will quickly find its way into the hearts and driveways of some very influential individuals who love luxurious automobiles sans the environmental impact.

Making its North American debut at the show also is the Lexus Hybrid LF-CH, the latest hybrid concept car to come from the carmaker.
