Haute Event: Miguel Paredes’ Art Gallery Grand Opening Reception
On Saturday, Feb. 12, Miguel Paredes celebrated the opening of his new gallery during Wynwood's 2nd Saturdays Art Walk. The gallery's opening was an enormous success, packed with art enthusiasts, VIPs, and invited guests. The night featured complimentary cocktails and drinks via Bombay Sapphire, Appleton Rum, Bacardi, and Heineken. Guests also enjoyed complimentary hor d'oeuvres provided by Vinyl & Kai, Miss Yip, the National Hotel Miami Beach, Kind Healthy Snacks, and Sweet Street desserts. Energetic lounge beats filled the bustling room thanks to DJ Sam Popat and DJ Ari X. Meanwhile, VIP guests enjoyed a private roped-off area with seating and exclusive bar service. Noted guests included Antonio Marion, Jeff Vaughan, Nolan Carroll of the Miami Dolphins, and Chandler Williams of the Kansas City Chiefs.

New York by Gehry: Luxury Living in the Tallest Residential Building in the Western Hemisphere
Rising to 870 feet, the 76-story, 1.1 million square-foot New York by Gehry building – dubbed a “vertical city” – opened its 37th Floor Rental Gallery to prospective residents who were invited to tour 18 model units in this monumental addition to the Lower Manhattan skyline. This is the first skyscraper for Frank Gehry, the recipient of dozens of the most prestigious prizes in architecture, including the 1989 Pritzker Prize or his contributions to both humanity and the art of architecture.

Melissa Joy Manning began created her first ceramic bead necklace when she was in pre-school, a necklace that her mother still treasures to this day. From then on, she knew that it had to be her calling. She studied traditional silversmithing at the Instituto de Allende in Mexico and European design principles at the University of Barcelona. Before studying abroad, she majored in art history in the University of California and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in jewelry design and sculpture from San Francisco State University.
